My 2014 Jeep wrangler was making a ticking sound for over 3 years… I knew I needed to replace the rollers but I kept postponing it because I knew it was a difficult job. After removing the driver side valve cover I realized it was a mistake to wait that long, the Left exhaust camshaft had 2 worn out lobes.This camshaft is an exact match. It came very well packaged. You will also need to buy the Camshaft Phaser Timing Chain Lock tool and a torque wrench if you don’t already have one. It took me about 15hrs. I’m a mechanic but it’s my first time doing this job. It can be done
If you’re looking at this cam, you probably have the Pentastar “tick”!! Damn Chrysler 3.6. Anyway, a failed rocker on my 14 JK wiped out a driver side exhaust lobe. In the interest of saving some money, I chose this cam over the Mopar cam at about half the cost.
I worried all the work would be for nothing if this cam didn’t work out, but it did. First start up was a little noisy but I coated everything with assembly lube and after about 2 seconds the engine purred like factory. I also replaced the plugs while there but the cam works like factory.
Been back on the road for three days now and still running great and haven’t thrown any codes.
Also, it arrived a day earlier than it was supposed to.

If you are like me and doing the rockers because of “the Pentastar tick” Please make sure before you put the valve cover back on that you torque the oil galley bolts back to spec. Thank me later.
I purchased this item twice, once for the drivers side and again for the passengers side on my 2015 JKU. These rockers and lifters fit nicely and they look just like the parts from Mopar but at a fraction of the cost! I was able to use this set to replace all of the lifters and rockers and my jeep now doesn’t tick! We’ve been around 1500 miles so far and the engine is much more quiet than before!
